HI Chris, Wish I could come! Your collection looks lovely. Can i pick your brain? I have 10 different varieties of daffodils and this year only 3 varieties will bloom. I have heard that overcrowding can decrease bloom but not all are crowded! The blooming ones are in the warmer spots but in prior years all were blooming away. Could feeding them have led to more foliage and less bloom? Do they have a "rest year"? Admittedly as a nurse I figure everything needs a rest" now and then! Any ideas appreciated.

Marianne, Good question! I'm inspired to try to tackle it (with some "ideas" anyhow) in my next post... -kris

I took pictures of those bowed heads of sunny yellow just this week. Also of the maple flowers. I love the maple flowers although mine were still tightly budded. I will have to look at them today. I hope to walk the daffodil walk this week. Perhaps, Little Hailey will be ready for an outing.

Layanee, I'll look forward to seeing you and that shy little nut again! (maybe she'll come out of her shell this time and tell us a story?) -kris

Hi, I am a big fan. I am so impressed with all that your gardeners do. The content of your blog is interesting. But, may I suggest changing the format of your design. A blog should also be visually impressive. I suggest you change to a two column format. Place links and archives on one side so you can increase the size of your beautiful pics. Your header could be layered placinging your logo over a seasonal feature picture. I am familiar with wordpress and would be happy to help.
The natural change that each season consistently paints is inspirational.
Thank you for sharing your journal.

Melinda, Thanks for your feedback. I'm all for a change - this blog has had the same format for all 4 years of its life! We're at least talking about a facelift... Thank you for your offer of help - I might just take you up on it and will let you know. -kris
