Views are important and I think I have a few views I need to hide. The views at Blithewold are special indeed. My favortie... not what you would expect, I love looking out from inside the bamboo toward the light and color of the garden you have created. Oh, the ocean is nice also.

Layanee, On my circuit around taking view pictures, I shot your favorite view. It's one of my favorites too (if I had listed and shown all of my favorites it would have been a much longer post!) And that view is particularly sweet right now. When are you coming back? -kris

I love standing in the North Garden, surrounded by soft colored perennials, with the refreshing view of the green lawn and blue water in the distance.

At some point, those of us who are concerned with good design, realize the need for a master plan. The challenge is that some of us can't help ourselves....we're plant-o-holics, and have trouble resisting acquiring new and fantastic plants. Like dealing with any addiction, we have to set limits.....and limit our selection of special plants to fit within the framework of the grand scheme.

Kathy, Sticking to those limitations is the hardest thing to do! I have very little self-control when it comes to plant temptations and unfortunately it shows in my own garden. Somehow it's easier to stick to the plan here maybe because Bessie and Marjories intentions still feel so clear. -kris
