We only got an inch of rain and it didn't come down to fast luckily. Our area is much less exposed to the coast than yours. Hopefully the large area of grass seeding we did is okay but we didn't do anything special for the storm. The rain was most welcome in our gardens.

DF, We had about 2.5" and it was gentle and perfect up here too. It's so nice to not have to water this week! -kris

Is that what did it? The skies opened up around 3 p.m. here and didn't stop until well after midnight (I know because whatever is getting dripped on below the eaves is still making that hollow sound!). All my seedlings in flats were floating in about 1.75". I thought that it was safe to put the dishes back under the pots outside, but no go. All got dumped & removed this morning. Hope the floppers aren't a total flop. The dahlia photo is gorgeous--beautiful color combinations.

Thanks for the compliment, Lynn! The floppers were all fine as it turned out. It was just the kind of rain we needed - soaking but not destructive. I hope your seedlings are OK! -kris
