Finally we did get a couple inches. Everyone is lifting their leaves straight up!
Still cold and grey tho.

Val, I'm glad for you. And we're still cold and grey too. Perfect planting weather! -kris

We are still powder dry. My little woodland ephemerals are wilty but I'm too busy planting new things and watering them. Still, it's preferable to snow. I'm really sick of dragging all the new things and houseplants back in every night. So cold. Two more nights below freezing. Sounds like you had a lovely drink.Val in MI.

Val, I hope you get some rain soon (as I write this we're getting another lovely little downpour - which we needed even after the last rainfall. It's been so windy...) and I hope you made it through your frosts. -kris

We got rain too here in Arlington, MA; unfortunately the only thing I got planted before the rain was a couple of annual planters. I have a cousin who lives just south of Buffalo who got one and a half FEET of snow!

Wow! And I'll bet that snow was heavy and awful... We're so lucky to have gotten that rain. -kris

It was a very good soaking rain and I am so very grateful. My tulips were showing just a bit of color so remain undamaged by the deluge. Now, let's keep the temperatures in the normal range so things slow down just a bit. The spring should never be rushed.

Amen to that, Layanee. -kris

We got almost 3 inches of rain and I also was running to get some vegetable seedlings in. I hope we do get regular celestial waterings from now on.

Fingers crossed! -kris
