Calamondin is so beautiful. I love it. It was very interesting to see how you prune the roots.

Thanks for visiting, Ewa! -kris

On earworms... take that!

It's a world of laughter a world of tears
It's a world of hopes and a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world afterall...

aaargh! It's like you know just how to get me... Why, Why would you do that?! -kris

I don't think permanent dormancy is death at all. It's how i feel when there's housework to be done ...

I didn't know about sweet peas being day-length dependent. How long do the days have to get?

Yes... I suffer from inertia... (isn't that a great word? inertia... I love it!) Sue, I've just tried to info about sweetpeas and day length and am not having much luck yet - I remember reading that it's about 16 hours... But I did find some info now that said some are day length neutral - I guess some'll bloom any ol' time! -kris

I'm still laughing. "permanent dormancy" I'm going to get a lot of use out of that phrase.

Wiseacre, I wish I could take credit but it was Julie who came up with it. She doesn't know how funny she is sometimes! -kris

Forget calling it death--I'm SO using the euphemism "permanent dormancy" from now on!

By the way, do you normally end up doing all that root pruning while it still has fruit? That just seems counterintuitive to me, but then I know little about root pruning...

Kim, That orange (and I think a lot of citrus) pretty much always has fruit hanging on but it's just getting ready to flower again. -kris
