Shirl, Thank you - We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!

Jodi, I enjoy being an enabler for that addiction of yours! (there may be a 12 step group for us...)

Carol, One of the best things about this job is seeing the gardens being enjoyed!

Layanee, See you soon I hope!

Brendan, Just like Pearly, sometimes I get stuck in front of an intense color unable to tear myself away - having a camera helps me to move on...

Kim, Good guess about the grass! Right on the money and right on! - More more more.

Kate, Stinky coleus is sometimes used as a companion plant in (near) veggies to keep critters (wild and domestic) away - a whiff of skunk all it takes for pests to turn right around!

Bright, my pleasure!

and ALL, I wish you could have been here Saturday too but I feel like you were in spirit - Thank you!!

Wow... stunning pictures. I hope that your fall days go well, and that you got to meet a lot of interesting people, bloggers or no.

That grass in the second picture, is it calamagrostis brachytricha? If so, I'm going to agree with James Van Sweeden (I think) who feels that it's a terribly underplanted grass. Wow.
