Every time I almost lose my hori I think about painting the handle flash orange. And I love the look of the Korean hand plow and have come so close to buying one but just can't work out how to carry it in my pocket without doing myself or someone else an injury (and if it doesn't go in a pocket it gets left somewhere hidden...) Hopeful pessimism? You've got me pegged. I used to have a hori but lost it somewhere. My favorite tool is a Korean hand plow. For some reason (bad eyesight?) I can't stand up and hoe. I prefer to be closer to what I'm doing. The Korean hand plow is much more comfortable on my wrists than a garden trowel Cynical optimism? Hopeful pessimism? You’ve got me pegged.

I'm one of those gardeners who can't pick just one favorite tool, I have about five favorites, and one of them is a hori-hori knife. I've often gotten a new gardening tool and thought "this is it, this is the ultimate tool" and then another tool comes along that I also like and so it goes.
