Layanee and Digital Flower, I didn't actually see the invoice for the buckwheat hulls this year - I'm probably remembering an old price and possibly also wholesale (which is a little unfair if you can't buy ws...) Layanee, You'll have to come see the Stachytarpheta because it doesn't photograph well! I'll post another pic today. I think you are getting a deal because the garden centers are selling it of $15.99/3 cf bag! Anyway, that was a lovely post about the soiree and can you ask Fred to come over to my place and do a little edging! My balloon flowers are not yet open and I have never heard of stachytarpheta before. I need to come see that plant. Very interesting. As a kid, I remember that they louder they got, the closer the end of summer and start of school was! Tomatoes from the garden also signal summertime for me, and I should get a red tomato late next week, fingers crossed. I like the lotus flowers, they are pretty and exotic and something I don't have. Anytime you can post for bloom day, please do so, even if it is a few days late! Carol at May Dreams Gardens (And the view from the lawn looking out at the sailboats is spectucular, something we don't have in Indiana!)
