Winter Solstice is a reminder of all the thing I haven't done. For me it's a chance to hike back to the many waterfalls of the area, to pity the deer that I cursed in the summer, to stand quietly outside at night and listen to the trees cracking in the cold, to slow down and enjoy the company of family and friends, and sit back and watch the dancing flames in the fireplace. So many things to do and now the countdown to a new season has begun. Winter solstice is my reminder to get off my butt and away from the computer which seems to have captured too much of my attention this winter.
