Kris, welcome back (I tried to leave a comment earlier, but it seemed to go somewhere else even though this isn't a Blogspot blog.) Some things are on schedule here, like the return of certain bird species, but we keep getting snow and cold weather, so the 14 snowdrops I discovered earlier last week are now covered with snowdrops of a somewhat colder type. But hopefully we'll catch ourselves up soon. The winter has gone on quite long enough!

Hi Jodi, I'm not sure what happened to your other comment - I hate to lose those! I don't know how crazy I'd be if we were still getting snow - I sympathize! I hope April is kinder to you than March! -kris

I agree Kris. The early Easter has us a bit off beat! I think Easter was around April 8th last year and so the spring seemed more on time. I did rake out one garden already and it is pretty early still. Love your little pushkinias (I think). Must get more of those.

Layanee, You're probably right about the identity of those little beauts. Julie remembers buying Scilla but was expecting someone to tell us they're Puschkinias. (I think we need more too - whatever they are, they're cool!) -kris

Things seem to be right on time here in Austin, and I just checked back to last year's March posts to make sure. We're in mid-spring already, and the early bloomers are done. April is high spring in central Texas, and then suddenly it'll be summer.

Welcome back, by the way. Paris must have been grand.

Thanks, Pam! Enjoy spring while you've still got it! -kris
